For my friends, who read over my shoulder and whose enthusiasm made writing this fic and drawing its cover a special treat.

· · ─ ·✶· ─ · ·

So just a heads up, this takes place in my "Space Oddity AU". Or basically a "Moon Revolution gone wrong" AU that takes place in Danycat/Drahornet's critterverse (with permission ofc!!), where Luna kind of dies due to an asteroid blowing their face off. However, the life they swore to protect returned the favor, for Luna's soul was able to find a new vessel in a human form (which I designed hehe). They don't remember who they are, but they have always felt the call to the cosmos. When he turns 22, Luna gets selected by ROTSAR on a mission to bring back the "weirdness", as things have been normal lately. Too normal. And as Luna meets the celestial bodies and goes further into their mission… memories start to resurface. But in this fic? Why, it's a fated meeting between two beings who have yet to realize they are old friends…

Oh by the way, go look at my bud's art. On their Tumblr. Drahornet. RIGHT NOW. THEY'RE WHY THIS AU EXISTS.

“… and that’s why I’m here.”

Luna drew in a breath, almost slumping over the console. Their hair nearly covered their eyes as they did so, and with a small sigh, Luna pushed it back with a hand. He really needed to ask Mission Control Dude if Computer knew how to cut his texture of hair…

But that would have to be a later problem. Luna lifted their head to look out the ship’s window. Faces stared right back at them, some confused, others nonchalant. All of them belonged to strange humanoids crossed with different types of beasts. If someone had told Luna a month ago all celestial bodies could take strange forms- which was probably their “true” form at this rate- he would have laughed.

The one who had snakes for legs, Mimas, squinted at the tiny human. Luna took in a breath and slowly exhaled. For a moment, he couldn’t help but wonder if this was how ants felt all the time. “Okay, okay, so what you’re saying is you Earthlings got bored and want us to go crazy?” Mimas spoke with a lisp.

Luna’s head shot up with a small scowl. “H-hey, that’s not what I said at all-”

Mimas suddenly leaned a bit too close for comfort towards the ship. “I’m all in! I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m sick of nothing happening!”

“Hang on! The Sun said-” Luna protested.

“Especially since Titan’s-”

“Mimas!” A deep, stern voice called out. A moment later, a moon who appeared to have secretary bird features pulled back the overeager moon. “That’s enough,”

Luna let out a small sigh of relief. Mimas rolled his one eye and drifted off elsewhere. Luna then shifted their gaze towards the larger moon. That one was Iapetus, right? “Thanks…” Luna softly sighed.

Iapetus slowly nodded, his stony expression ever present. “I will discuss this matter with the other moons, as well as Saturn,” However, for a brief moment, Luna saw a small quirk on his face. Slowly, Luna felt his ship ever so carefully get drawn closer towards Iapetus.

Iapetus leaned closer and slowly raised his cloak, blocking the view of the other moons. Luna furrowed his brow slightly. Okay…?

“However…” Iapetus continued. “If I may, there is something I’d like to keep between the two of us.”

Luna suddenly perked up, making himself as attentive as possible. O-oh! So that’s what all the- okay. “Yeah, that’s fine. What’s up?”

Iapetus pressed his lips together for a moment. “I do not intend to imply your mission is doomed to fail, but I’m afraid what caused this… dormancy in the Solar System, is a wound that has yet to heal.”

Luna’s brows furrowed even further and leaned over the console. It was hard to get a read on Iapetus’ face. Had he always looked this cold? Iapetus, stony as ever, standing beside a few other moons with weapons drawn-

Luna let out a sudden gasp and blinked a few times. What the…? “Tierra? Is something the matter?”

“I-It’s fine. Just thinking,” They drew in a breath and gave the moon a reassuring smile. Iapetus didn’t seem convinced, judging by how his expression somehow grew more rigid. But not once did he open his mouth. Luna twiddled his thumbs together before speaking up again. “So, what happened?”

Iapetus’ cast his gaze away from Luna. Luna watched as his face contorted into something more somber, regretful, even. The feathers on his head even began to lower. Luna put a hand to the glass window. “Iapetus?”

Iapetus didn’t speak for a moment. Luna could do nothing but shoot the moon a concerned look. So much for Iapetus being the stoic one after all… poor guy. What happened? “While I was involved, it is not something I feel I should speak on.” Iapetus finally spoke, looking at Luna from the corner of his eye. “But it is why Earth’s Moon has a gaping wound.”

Luna felt a chill go down their spine. For some reason, his heart began to beat faster. Seeing that had been nothing short of a nightmare. And when the moon began to speak to them…

Luna squeezed their eyes shut. Don’t think about it. Don’t think about it. “… did someone hurt him?”

Iapetus froze, before a long sigh escaped his nose. “Yes.” He leaned on his spear for a moment, before finally turning back to fully face Luna. “But as I said, it’s not something I should speak on.”

There was another sigh. The best Luna could do in response was offer Iapetus a weak smile. A part of him almost wanted to hug him, but he wasn’t sure if it would be appreciated. That and it was physically impossible for them to do so. “You know what? I want to try anyway.” Luna responded.

Iapetus’ feathers raised slightly. “Are you sure? It won’t be easy for a small human like yourself.”

Were they? Luna’s smile nearly dropped. So far this mission had been nothing but unexpected events on top of unexpected events. Eldritchy celestial objects, Earth Moon’s voice in the back of their head, oh you know, literally everything. Luna closed their eyes. When they opened them, a firm nod was given to Iapetus. “I meant it. I do want to try,” A deep breath. “It’s better than nothing.”

Iapetus scrutinized Luna for a moment. For a fleeting moment, a small smile flickered on the moon’s face. He let his cloak fall, then used his spear to point beyond Saturn’s orbit. “Then I suggest going to Uranus’ orbit first.”

Luna’s eyes trailed towards the tip of the spear. Through the dark void of space, they could barely make out a faint smudge of light blue. Luna slowly nodded. That made sense, Uranus was right after Saturn but…

Luna shifted their gaze away from the spear and towards a hazy yellow orb orbiting far from Saturn. It was the only moon that, well, looked like a moon. And he was the only one that hadn’t gathered around to listen to Luna. And if that moon was who he thought it was, then maybe it was for the best he hadn’t talked to him. “They probably won’t hurt you, but there was that time when Titan took me hostage…”

Luna blinked as Mission Control Dude’s words echoed in their head. He continued to stare at the strange moon. “You’d be wasting your time with him,” Iapetus suddenly spoke up. Luna stole a quick glance at him, noticing an almost resigned sadness in Iapetus’ face. “Titan, he…”

Iapetus trailed off. Luna shot a questioning glance at him, to which Iapetus’ head feathers only ruffled slightly. “He hasn’t moved from his orbit for years.”

“But you guys haven’t either-” Luna began.

“He was the first,” Iapetus cut in with a faraway look. “Never moves. Never strays slightly from his path. And recently, never talks.”

Luna felt his heart sink. That sounded so horrible and lonely. Nothing like the Titan Mission Control described. Why was Titan doing this to himself? Did it have something to do with that event Iapetus hinted at? Despite their earlier reservations, Luna couldn’t help but cast a worried glance towards the haze covered moon. “Oh my god…” Luna muttered.

Iapetus only nodded somberly. Luna felt a small tug at their ship as Iapetus began to move. As Iapetus gently carried him with his gravity, Luna couldn’t help but stare at the ever shrinking Titan. Despite everything Iapetus told him, there was a small urge to just. Go there. Tell Titan to stop whatever nonsense he was doing- the guy was practically hurting himself! Luna let out a sigh from their nose and forced their gaze away from Titan.

“I’ll do what I can to make your journey faster,” They heard Iapetus say. “I suggest you grab onto something.”

Almost immediately Luna planted himself into the pilot’s seat and fastened his seat belt. Last time he was slingshotted, the only warning he got was “3, 2, 1 go little dude!”. They were going to have a serious conversation about that with Ganymede the next time they saw him.

Luna took in a breath and gave Iapetus a shaky thumbs up. Iapetus gave him a nod, and the ship’s orbit around him became faster and faster. Luna felt their stomach drop and they closed their eyes. His fingers gripped at his seat. What could have been five minutes felt like it lasted hours.

“You can open your eyes now.” A feminine mechanical voice mused.

Luna jolted slightly, casting a weary glance towards a TV screen. The blue dot that was Uranus was getting closer and closer. Luna let out a small breath and leaned back in his seat. “Uh, thanks Computer?”

There was but a small hum from her, before she began to mutter something about charting a safe course and a snarky remark Luna didn’t quite catch. Their mind still wandered to Titan. They knew they should listen to Iapetus, he had been really helpful the whole time he was in Saturn’s orbit. But leaving someone like that felt wrong, no matter how difficult they decided to be.

Luna’s brow set as they stared off into space. You know what? He could take Iapetus’ advice and help Titan. “After the dwarf planets…” Luna muttered to themself.

“What was that?” Computer prodded.

Luna sat up straighter. “After the dwarf planets, I want to see Titan.”

“You could be out here for a year if you do that. Or more! Who knows, really,”

“Not helping,” Luna huffed.

“Just something to think about,” Computer replied.

It wasn’t a no, though, so Luna would take it. They could cross that bridge when they got there anyway.

… hopefully.

How long had it been since they had last been in Saturn’s orbit? A month now? Despite the ship having advanced technology, it still did take some time to get around the Solar System. Especially since he was busy talking to celestial objects. Having to help Neptune round up all his moons didn’t help with that either.

Luna stared out the window, at the yellow hazed moon that was growing larger by the second. Out of the corner of their eye, Luna caught a flicker of movement. He shifted his gaze towards something orbiting beyond Titan. Iapetus. For a moment, he had a feeling of locking eyes with the bird-like moon. Luna wasn’t sure if Iapetus could see, but they put their hand up regardless. A moment later, Iapetus continued on his trek. Luna let out a small breath before focusing back on Titan.

A shiver went down Luna’s spine the closer they got. Holy- no wonder he was the second largest moon! Even though Titan had a normal spherical shape, he was massive compared to the other moons of Saturn. Luna took in a breath, and stood up. “You know, you did technically do your job,” Computer mused. Luna wasn’t sure if he was hearing things, but she sounded… nervous?

Luna let out a small sigh, sparing Computer only a quick glance. “I can’t leave him like this,” They spoke with a small frown. “It’s not fair to him.”

“Why so much care for someone you don’t know?” The TV screen tilted questioningly.

A groan he tried to suppress slipped through. “Look, I- he’s a sentient being! Everyone deserves someone watching out for them!”

“Not judging,” Computer’s screen bobbed almost like a shrug. “But you do you.”

Luna let out a small huff and looked back at the moon. That was the plan. “Just… let me know if you need me,” Came the surprisingly soft remark from computer.

Luna’s frown softened. To be fair, she hadn’t led them astray and at least tried to look out for them. Hearing some form of sincerity from her was weird, but welcome. A nod was all he gave to the machine in response.

One breath, then another. “H-hey…” That sounded too weak. Why were they suddenly nervous? Another breath. “Titan, was it?”

This time his voice was louder, and Luna leaned closer to the glass to get a clearer view. The moon didn’t stir. Or at least, it didn’t seem that way. “I’m an astronaut from ROTSAR,” Luna continued. “My mission is to get you guys doing weird things again.”

A very gross oversimplification, but it got the point across. “Iapetus told me you weren’t doing so well so…” He gave Titan his best attempt at a smile. “I thought maybe you could use a friend. If you want to take your time, that’s okay.”

Silence. Luna’s shoulder slumped slightly. Hey, they did say he could take his time. It wouldn’t be fair if he-

What.

Luna blinked a few times, trying to process what was in front of them. Was Titan’s atmosphere moving? At first it seemed like odd lumps, but soon snake-like tendrils began to emerge from the moon. Luna took an involuntary step back. “C-Computer?”

“Oh. That was fast.” Computer noted. “I’ll keep an eye on him,”

Keep an eye on him- what did that even mean?! Whatever questions Luna had died in their throat as they watched the moon sluggishly begin to unfurl. He felt his heart begin to pound in his chest. Why- what- but everyone else is weird?! So why am I so-

Odd shimmering blue colors began to twinkle in Luna’s direction. Wait, no, eyes. Too many of them. Luna forced their gaze away, only to now find a long sinewy snake-like body uncurling from a balled up shape. Despite his whole being begging him not to, he followed the long body up until…

A face. Surrounded by serpentine tendrils- hair- oh. The image of a gorgon briefly came to mind. Luna’s whole body froze in place. Titan’s large eyes seemed unfocused. He wasn’t truly looking at Luna, more through them. His mouth parted, then widened to reveal snake-like fangs. His lower jaw seemed to split and spread unnaturally, before coming back together. Luna involuntarily shivered. His face was human-like, just like the other moons, and yet seeing it do that-

They could only hope Computer had a bucket on hand. Luna felt their breathing quicken somewhat as Titan slowly began to turn his head. Every time his gaze passed over the ship, Luna had to bite back a scream. Maybe Mission Control Dude was right. Hell, maybe Iapetus was right. He shouldn’t have tried. There was no telling what Titan could do if-

“… na… is that you?” A deep rumbly voice, cracking from disuse, filled the space.

Luna’s heart nearly stopped. That. That was Titan. That had to be Titan. Luna’s fists clenched and unclenched. They began to slowly back away from the window. He parted his lips, but not a sound came out. Every part of their being screamed at them to do something. To say something. Yet besides their shaking fists, not a single inch of their body moved. An angry flash of fangs. “You know what?! I thought you’d understand-”

Luna rapidly blinked. His heart began to beat faster as the strange thought came and went. He took in a huge gulp of air before attempting to speak. “C-Computer-”

The ship was suddenly engulfed in a yellow haze. Luna bit his tongue to stifle a scream. A moment later, the haze withdrew, and the large eye of a snake stared back at Luna. The snake tendril lazily pulled away from the ship, only to reveal Titan staring directly at Luna. Luna swallowed and slowly tried to even their breathing.

The longer the stare-off went, the more Luna noticed small details about the gigantic moon. One of the snake tendrils seemed to be partially covering the right side of his face, almost like a long strand of hair. There were noticeable streaks under his visible eye, as well as heavy eye bags. The roaring in Luna’s ears began to slow the more he regarded Titan. Okay… just weird like the other moons. Nothing to worry about. Maybe.

“Oh…” Titan mumbled. What seemed to be high cheekbones split somewhat, making the corners of his mouth crawl further up his face than that of a regular human’s. Luna felt their heart rate begin to speed up once more.

Titan slowly blinked, then shrank away from the ship. “I’m sorry for botherin’ ya, Earthling.”

Luna’s mouth hung agape for a moment. Words scrambled in his brain. Are you going to hurt me? Why were you asleep? Iapetus said you haven’t moved in years-

Their mouth moved before their thoughts could catch up. “W-why do you sound Southern?” Luna blurted.

Another slow blink was shot in Luna’s direction. Titan opened and closed his mouth. “… pardon?” He squinted at the ship, leaning closer for a moment. “What’s a Southern?”

If Luna’s hands had stopped shaking, he would have given himself a facepalm right about now. Instead he simply stood, opening and closing his palms. “I-it’s an Earth thing. And a stupid question. Don’t worry about it.” Luna grimaced, and finally forced their gaze away from Titan.

“Uh, right. Okay,”

A thick silence followed. As what felt like hours passed, Luna found he was finally able to move his shaking hand to his chest. A few deep breaths, and they gave a weary glance back to Titan. Titan wasn’t looking at Luna at all. In fact, he seemed more preoccupied with coiling himself back into a ball. Luna’s heart skipped a beat and he held a shaky hand out. Dammit dammit he was supposed to be helping him! Not freaking out over weirdness they should have been used to by now! “Hold on! I-I know we didn’t start things off on the right foot, but I meant what I said earlier!”

Titan’s brows furrowed somewhat. “And I meant what I said too. I don’t want to bother ya.”

A curl of frustration formed in Luna’s chest. For some reason there was an odd sense of deja vu. They began to walk closer to the window. “You’re not. I just think it’s unfair everyone else gets to go back to what they were doing and you-”

“It’s better this way.” Titan shot back, slowly beginning to uncoil to meet Luna’s gaze.

“No it’s not!” Luna could feel his voice raising. “I know I’m a complete stranger to you, but this isn’t good for you! Iapetus told me you have been doing this for years on end!”

“Earthling, maybe it’s best you stay a stranger,” Titan sighed, casting his gaze away from Luna.

Luna threw his hands in the air with a loud huff. Was he being serious- how come he couldn’t see- Luna suppressed another groan and shot a worried frown at Titan. Everything about this situation felt painfully familiar for reasons they couldn’t put a finger on. But if Titan could just stop being so stubborn then maybe they both could figure out a solution! “Then why?” Luna demanded. “Why do you hurt yourself like this?!”

“That’s not-” Titan began. Luna didn’t let him finish.

“I can't just sit by and ‘stay a stranger’! Not when you clearly need help!”

“Earthling-”

“So can you just tell me-”

“Luna can you drop it already?!”

Titan’s fangs were on full display for a brief moment, his long body towering over the ship. The snakes on his head let out weak hisses. Luna’s heart dropped as they took a step back. “H-how did you…”

Titan blinked, faster than he had the previous two times. The snakes curled behind his back and he slowly sunk himself back to eye level. “I-I’m…” Titan weakly croaked. He began to shrink in on himself. “I’m sorry.”

Titan cast his gaze away. “You just remind me of an old friend, is all.”

Now it was Luna’s turn to blink. With a shaky breath, he forced himself to step closer to the glass window. “… were they called ‘Luna’ too?”

Titan went still for a moment. It was hard to tell, but from where Luna was standing, it seemed like he was trying to take in deep breaths. “O-of course, just my luck…” Luna heard him mutter.

Titan partially turned towards Luna. “Yeah. He shared a name with ya.” A weak chuckle. “Talked a lot like you, too.”

Luna let out a small, worried hum. This wasn’t exactly the first time his name got celestial objects to do a double take, but Titan’s reaction had by far been the strongest. Luna pressed a hand against the window. Their fingers began to drum against the glass, until they attempted to look Titan in the eye. “Do you want to talk about him?”

Titan made a complicated face and held his arms close to his chest. Some of the snakes seemed a bit pensive too, huddling close to Titan as if to comfort him. “Not really…”

Luna attempted a gentle smile. Despite everything inside them still wanting to flee, their face was thankfully able to avoid a grimace and align with something more genuine. “It’s okay, you don’t have to,” Luna assured.

Titan’s lips pressed into a thin line with a weak nod. Yet another silence fell between the two. Titan didn’t seem to be curling up again, which Luna would take as a small win. However the giant moon seemed lost, squeezing his own shoulder with his clawed hand every so often. Luna’s smile fell to a look of concern. Whoever this other Luna was, he clearly meant a lot to Titan. Enough that it got him to wake up.

Luna’s thoughts began to wander as the silence continued. Luna… Luna… that name had a relation to Earth’s Moon. It was why they chose it when they realized they were non-binary; they always had a fascination with it. But Earth’s Moon was clearly alive, faceless, but alive. A shudder went down Luna’s spine as they recalled a frustrated deep voice coming from him, asking too many questions, trying to capture the ship-

Luna inhaled sharply. Forget it. They could worry about it later- or preferably, never! After a few blinks, he refocused back on Titan, who was still kneading at his shoulder. “If it makes you feel better, you weren’t the first person to be surprised by my name,”

One of Titan’s long ears twitched, and slowly, he began to look back at the ship. His mouth opened and closed, before a sigh escaped him. “Figures…” He mumbled.

That didn’t look like the reaction of someone who was reassured. Luna began to tap at the glass in thought once more. “Phobos and Deimos accused me of identity theft,” They tried. It was kind of a funny story, looking back.

For a brief moment, Titan’s ears perked up before falling back down. “They did? No, what am I saying of course they did,” For a moment, he became a bit more animated, before letting out a small hiss. Luna winced as he watched him rub at a sore muscle. "How are they doin’?”

Now it was Luna’s turn to perk up. From the sounds of things, Titan knew them personally. Maybe they could work with this. “Fine? They’re very chatty and loud.” Luna squinted slightly. “Is that normal for them?”

Titan’s exhausted expression brightened for a moment. What Luna hoped was a smile briefly tugged at the corner of his jaws. "Very normal. I’m glad they’re both okay, considerin’ everything.”

Luna made a mental note to ask Titan what ‘everything’ was later, though they had a sinking feeling it had something to do with what Iapetus told them. Titan then cast his gaze to the side. “Can you…” Titan took in a breath. “Can you tell them not to worry about me? If you see them on the way back?”

Luna’s face fell. So back to trying to get rid of them, it seemed. He closed his eyes and drew in a long breath. After a long exhale, Luna answered Titan with an unamused face. “Couldn’t you go over and tell them yourself?” They questioned with a raised brow.

Titan weakly raised a finger, then put it back down. “It’s better if I don’t,”

Why?

For a moment, Titan’s expression hardened. “Luna, I know you’re only tryin’ to help, but you don’t know a damn thing about what you’ve walked into.”

Luna opened their mouth to speak, to protest, but with a small sigh, looked away from Titan with a small glare. Maybe he would know if somebody told him! But unless he wanted to shatter the fragile peace he had just made with Titan, Luna would have to hold his tongue. For now, at least. “… I’m not tryin’ to imply you’re incapable.” Luna shifted their gaze back at the sound of Titan’s rough voice.

There was that familiar exhaustion again, not a trace of Titan’s previous glare. “I’ve got a feelin’ I wasn’t your first stop. And if everyone getting chattier around Saturn’s orbit is anything to go by…” A small gesture was shot in the direction of a huddle of three moons. Luna’s eyes followed Titan’s arm.

From a glance, they caught Mimas and Dione talking to someone much smaller than them. Mimas quickly glanced over at Titan, then back to Dione. Almost immediately the trio dispersed like nothing had happened. Luna’s face suddenly went flush. Oh. Everyone saw him arguing with Titan, didn’t they? Luna quickly shot a glance at Titan, who only gave a familiar slow blink in return, seemingly unbothered by the small interaction.

“You've achieved exactly what you wanted,” Titan continued.

Luna pressed their lips into a thin line. Okay, but…

“You’ve done great things, Luna. I don’t want to be the one who tells ya you can’t.” Titan cast his glance towards the side, slowly beginning to curl the lower half of his long snake-like body. “But the Solar System has issues that you shouldn’t put on your shoulders.”

Titan sank into his coils, not fully committing to the spherical look this time it seemed. Regardless, Luna couldn’t help but feel a worried knot form in his stomach. Both hands were now pressed against the glass window, with their worried eyes staring down Titan. Titan used a hand to push back the snake coil covering his right eye as he looked back at Luna. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but you probably have a nice life back on Earth,” Then with a small sigh, Titan settled down to rest his head on his arms. Luna caught a hint of a sad smile. “You should live it, Luna. You’d be happier for it.”

Luna’s shoulders sank. Titan wasn’t completely wrong. Their life had been improving in the years since they got out of foster care. Heck, they were in space at the age of twenty two; most people didn’t achieve a dream like that so fast! He knew he had things to look forwards to as well, like seeing his cat again and… well, like Titan said. Living his life. And yet-

“Your mission is technically complete,” Computer’s voice popped up next to Luna.

“JESUS-” Luna yelped, jolting in place. He let out a groan and slid a palm down his face. “Now you speak up?!”

Out of the corner of their eye, Luna caught Titan squinting and giving yet another slow blink. “… do I know you? I could have sworn I’ve heard ya before.”

“Oh. I didn’t think you’d remember me, but here we are.” Computer replied in a clipped tone. “Personally I’m impressed at your impulse control this time around.”

Luna glanced between Computer and Titan with a bewildered look. Were they missing something here? Titan was now sitting up somewhat, looking just as bewildered as Luna. “This… time…?”

Computer let out a mechanical sigh. “Does the name Astrodude ring a bell?”

Titan’s eyes widened and his pupils turned to slits. His ears lowered as he opened and closed his mouth. A moment later, he sank back into his coils, pointedly looking away from the ship. Luna let out a weary sigh and gave Computer the side eye. “First of all, I was in the middle of a conversation,”

“That was going nowhere.” Computer noted.

Luna made a face. “Second, I feel like there’s a lot of context you’re withholding from me.”

Computer made a shrug with her monitor. Much to Luna’s chagrin, the ship began to pull away from Titan. They gave the large moon one last long gaze. For a moment, Titan seemed to look back, before slowly beginning to coil back into a ball. With a small sigh Luna turned away and went to go slouch down in their seat. “You could tell Mission Control you’re done,”

They could, though it currently seemed like Computer wasn’t giving them a choice. “But I’m not authorized to take you to Earth until my superiors give the okay.”

Luna frowned slightly. What was she trying to get at here? With another sigh, Luna turned to face the window. Outside they could see Jupiter off in the distance, and even further, the asteroid belt.

“The silent treatment. That’s new,” Computer observed.

Luna straightened up slightly and turned their head towards Computer. “I don’t get it. Whose side are you on?”

“Technically speaking, ROTSAR’s,” Computer’s screen then shifted to be directly in front of Luna. “But something tells me you aren't done here yet,”

“Then why did you move the ship away from Titan?” Luna huffed, crossing his arms with a raised brow.

“It was like I said, that conversation was going nowhere,” Computer shifted to Luna’s side, the screen giving their right arm a nudge. “So, what will you do about Titan instead?”

Luna’s lips parted with a small stutter. Titan clearly wasn’t going to listen to the words of one person, let alone a stranger. He made that clear enough. But the fact he was even willing to have a conversation at all…

Luna unfolded his arms and began to drum at his legs. Then, as if a lightbulb went off over his head, Luna nearly lept out of their seat. Of course. It was right in front of them this whole time! Maybe Titan wouldn’t move from his place, but who said they couldn’t bring someone to him? Technically extra chaos was a part of his mission. “Computer, set a course for Mars,” A confident smile slowly spread across Luna’s face. “We’re coming back with someone else,”

For once, Computer’s chuckle wasn’t dry or sarcastic. “As you wish, Luna Tierra,”
